14) Mellorca, Spain

Puerto de Pollensa, Mellorca, Islas Baleares, Spain 39° 54.2 N 03° 05.2 E

John and I went to breakfast.  It’s nice being tied to the dock so we can just walk in and not deal with the dinghy.  We both had the desire to sample the British Breakfast.  It seems they cater to these tourists and there are several of these establishments around.

We were forewarned about the sausage and all of it was true.  It was bland and watery and did not really have that much sausage meat in it.  The rest of the food was good.

On our 15-minute walk to the restaurant we passed some fisherman on the docks.  They clearly disregard the signs and we wondered why the signs were there.  They chum with a mixture of dried cheese, bread and anchovies.  We didn’t see them catch anything but were assured that they did get keepers.

Here fishy, fishy… come to poppa.  This guy was really friendly to us.
Woke up this morning to patchy clouds, deep blue sky, a slight warm breeze, which was a complete 180° difference to what we had the previous 2 days.

Water is cherished here, as it can be in short supply.  Hence, the luck we had of borrowing the hose adapter and connecting to shore power.  This is the ultra-clean bathroom at the marina.
