34° 47.729N 007° 36.70W About 65 miles northwest of Casablanca, Morocco
It was rough last night and today, Thanksgiving, and it is still a bit bumpy with winds
15-25 knots from the aft quarter pushing us through the water at about 5 knots. John made the announcement that we were going to change our clocks. But, someone would have to make up that hour on their watch and he volunteered. At 9:30am we set the clocks back to 8:30am. Basically, every 15° is a time change and I think we had gone that far at this time. Anyway, what did it matter since we were all on a screwy schedule anyway. It took me all day to work up the guts to cook a dinner. At sea it usually takes me all day to work up energy to work the galley anyway. Thanks to Nancy’s foresight…
It was a bit surreal. We were dozens of miles off the coast of Casablanca, Morocco eating a Thanksgiving dinner at 2pm local time of ham, yams, stuffing, wine and some fresh bread that I made. There wasn’t anything or anybody else in sight.
Blue sky, blue offshore water, and warmer air. |
